The RESOLVE Framework is free to use
The RESOLVE Framework is published as an open standard. Leaders, teams, and organisations are free to read it, apply it in their own work, and share it with others, at no cost and without seeking permission. The framework spreads by being understood, and it is offered openly for that reason.
This openness applies to the framework doctrine, meaning the published explanation of The RESOLVE Framework on this site: the leadership paradox, the five disciplines, the failure model, the discipline hierarchy, the equation, the flywheel, the maturity model, the system map, and the doctrine text itself.
The licence
The framework doctrine on this site is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution–NoDerivatives 4.0 International licence (CC BY-ND 4.0).
In plain terms, this licence allows anyone to:
- use the framework in their own leadership, team, and organisation, including in a commercial setting;
- copy and redistribute the doctrine in any medium or format, in full and unchanged;
on two conditions:
- Attribution — appropriate credit must be given to the source (see "How to cite the framework", below), with a link to this site and to the licence. Credit must not suggest that the source endorses the user or their use.
- No derivatives — the doctrine may be shared in full and unchanged, but altered, adapted, or partial versions may not be distributed. This protects the framework from being misrepresented or distorted.
The full licence is available at creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/4.0/.
